Rokar is a valiant knight in the service of Bahamut. Despite his races general distrust of Faerunian gods, he lacks many of these because he was raised separately from his people. His early memories were of traveling with his father who was an explorer dissatisfied with staying put in Tymanthar. When he was six years old, his father died of wounds from a gang of thieves near Waterdeep, though he slew the brigands before dying. Rokar was soon found by monks from a small monastery devoted to Torm who took him in. Rokar was always interested in the histories of his people but never met any other dragonborn in the seclusion of the monastery. His interest in dragons and some of his father’s stories drew him to Bahamut, a servant of Torm. Rokar devoted himself to Bahamut and left the monastery to make a life of his own when he was 15. After living a year in the City of Splendors, Rokar found he had some of the wanderlust of his father and left to see the world, eventually ending up in Cormyr and signing on to march on Darkhold.

The Purple Dragons of Cormyr gathered a good force, however it was for naught. Much of the force assembled to march on Darkhold were either slain or taken prisoner. Rokar was one of the lucky few to survive, but the following months were not easy. However, his time as a prisoner of Zhent mercenaries was made much more bearable because of his fellow inmates, who he bacame very close to. Eventually, Cormyr mounted a rescue mission for its elites, but Rokar’s commander Sword Captain Lorenzo refused to leave without his men. After a grueling and bloody escape, Rokar and his companions managed to hold out long enough to be rescued by a mercenary group. The mercenaries offered Rokar and his companions some work, and Rokar with his friends set off for Arabel. For Rokar, he felt this was his first chance to bring the glory and justice of Bahamut to others.
